Banana and walnut bread or Banana bread (loaf) with walnuts is a very simple and delicious bread that goes well with your evening tea or coffee. It can even be had just by itself as an afternoon snack. Since my kids have holidays, they were eager to help and excited to bake and be mom's big helpers. It is super easy to make this bread. All you need is some overripe bananas, egg, flour, and brown sugar. You can also add walnuts if you like.
Tips to make Banana and Walnut Bread
This bread has great texture and is very moist. Make sure the butter, egg, and milk are at room temperature. You can increase the quantity of sugar if you like it sweeter. Do not overmix while adding the dry ingredients to the wet. You can also use your hands to combine well if you wish. Top some walnuts on the top for decoration.
So if you have some overripe bananas sitting on your counter, you may want to try baking this yummy bread. It is just about mixing all the ingredients and putting them in the oven. Happy baking! I have never tried banana loaf but I LOVE banana cake. I love it more than carrot/vanilla/butterscotch or any other flavor of cake. The ingredients to both seem similar, do they taste the same?
Hi Parvathy, I think they must be the same. Around here, I have just heard it being called as banana bread/loaf. I love the flavor also very much .Thank you so much for your comments and stopping by!
