Patience is a true virtue indeed . The quote “Patience is the calm acceptance that things can happen in a different order than the one you have in your mind.” by David.G.Allen has a lot of wisdom and meaning. Most of us are ambitious, enthusiastic and expect instant success when we start our careers or anything new in life and become independent. It is also easy to get frustrated on facing obstacles and not attaining results as expected . However as life moves on , it teaches us one of the important lessons of patience, and that ,it is best to allow things to follow their natural course and not resist it. Some things in life may need more time than others to blossom, develop and unfold.
Patience is also how one responds to life’s little challenges .Maya Angelou’s quote below says a lot can be told of a person depending on how they handle a rainy day, lost luggage and tangled Christmas tree lights .Things may not always go as we expect or desire and are sometimes beyond our control in certain situations .The art of being patient and tolerant helps avoid unnecessary pain and stress in such situations.
Here is another uplifting quote by Gertrude Tooley Buckingham , a great reminder when one is impatient ,restless or things are not working their way .“Have patience, my friend, have patience; for Rome wasn’t built in a day! You wear yourself out for nothing in many and many a way! Why are you nervous and fretty when things do not move along fast; why let yourself get excited over things that will soon be past?” So hang in there, be patient and believe that you will reach your goals at your best time and when you are ready.Sure enough, good things come to people who wait ! Have a good weekend.
