Milk Peda or milk fudge is one of the popular sweets made during festivities in India. This recipe is one of the easiest and simplest to make. It just needs only a few ingredients and can be made instantly in a microwave. It takes less than five minutes to make and tastes as good or better than the store-bought ones. The main ingredients are a can of sweetened condensed milk and milk powder. You can also optionally add saffron and cardamom powder if you like. Decorate with chopped nuts and serve. A delicious sweet fudge made out of condensed milk and milk powder
- ½ can sweetened condensed milk 7 oz
- 1 cup milk or mawa powder
- 4 -5 cardamoms powdered
- 2 tbsp powdered nuts
- few strands saffron soaked in 2 tbsp milk
- 3 - 4 tsp ghee or clarified butter
In a microwave safe bowl , heat ghee for about 40 seconds until it melts fully.
Add the condensed milk and milk powder to it and mix well with a spatula.
Microwave for 1 minute .
Take the bowl out and stir well .Microwave for another minute .
If it rises in between take it out and add the cardamom powder and saffron induced milk.
Take the bowl out and stir well. Microwave in addition of 20 to 30 seconds until you reach a minute until it all comes together.Make sure not to burn it .
Spread onto a plate to cool .
Apply some ghee on your palms and roll into small rounds and make a dent and decorate with crushed nuts.
