You’ve made some great points about the benefits of travel, Nisha. I think it’s good to include travel on a smaller scale, too, just nearby places you’ve not been before. It makes it more manageable if you can’t get out to explore the wider world. There’s beauty, excitement, a break from routine, a chance to tune in to yourself and feel refreshed and inspired closer to home and further afield. These are really good. I completely agree, too. I think so often in life we become robots, just going through the motions. We aren't actually enjoying every day any more - we're just burned out and tired of what has become so mundane.
Having the opportunity to get away, whether near or far, really awakens the soul and heals a heart that has become numb to the beauty surrounding us. Great post! ♥

Loved that last quote. We have a friend with a young family - well not so young anymore (the oldest is learning to drive). Our friend has had that philosophy all the children’s lives. The kids won’t have keepsake Barbie dolls or Star Wars characters to show from their childhood, but they will have wonderful stories to tell of camping trips, mountain biking, and other adventures.
