Mash the ripened bananas into the creamed mixture and add the vanilla extract
Now mix in the dry ingredients slowly until it is folded in well
Add the chocolate chips and walnuts and fold in to the thick batter
Top the batter with some nuts or chocolate chips
Bake it for about 50 to 55 minutes or until a tooth pick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Notes
Use a combination of brown sugar and white sugar to get a moist bread. You may choose to use only brown or white as well.
Using wheat flour may make the cake a little dense, so feel free to substitute it with all-purpose flour for a more airy bread.
As always, use overripe bananas to get a great-tasting banana bread.
While this chocolate banana bread is usually ready in about 55 minutes, ovens can vary. If the center isn’t fully set by then, continue baking in 5-minute increments.
To check for doneness, insert a toothpick into the center, and if it comes out clean or with just a few moist crumbs, it’s ready to come out of the oven.
