Today's click is of a red cardinal perched on a tree. I shot this picture using my zoom lens from quite a distance to avoid disturbing it. It looked magnificent in the brown backdrop and I cropped the original image to get a close-up view. Northern cardinals are popular and loved birds and also been named the official bird of about seven U.S. states including the tar heel state of North carolina!
