Biltmore Estate is located in Asheville, a city in the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains in North Carolina known for scenic greenery, natural wonders, and architectural history. Today's photographs are from the famous Biltmore Estate and Gardens located in Asheville. It is the largest privately owned home in America built by George Vanderbilt between 1889 and 1895 and in about 6950 acres of land and is a grand estate.
The house is designed in the style of a French Renaissance château. It has four acres of floor space and 250 rooms, dining rooms, sitting rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, three kitchens, an indoor swimming pool, and an indoor bowling alley. There are self-guided tours as well to this private estate and it is very well worth a visit! The massive home with its wonderful historical architecture is truly mesmerizing.
