Meditation is simple and yet a very powerful tool.It can be practiced by anyone, anywhere. We have heard of how meditation helps create a well balanced mind, improves overall health ,brings happiness and most importantly reduces stress and anxiety. This is also scientifically proven.Better mood, focus, concentration and enhanced decision making are some of the great qualities that meditation can bring about. The brain is completely re-wired and stress and anxiety can be completely reduced . Our mind is continually working in the auto pilot mode and it is important that we change it to act intentionally with willpower and thoughtful decisions.Meditation definitely helps achieve that.
All you need is a quiet place to sit comfortably ,focus on your breath as you inhale in deeply, and exhale out slowly . Feel the breath as it enters your chest and belly .Do not control the pace or intensity of your breath. For beginners, it's even recommended to start with short interval of 5 to 10 minutes on a timer . It is natural to get distracted and lose focus when you first practice meditation. The mind can be very restless and it is completely normal .However it is important to bring back the focus to breathing ,whenever the mind wanders. With patience , continued practice and making it a daily ritual, it eventually gets easier. The time interval can be increased to 15 to 30 minutes and so on . There is plenty of information online and books which can help one master the art of meditation. If one is able to find an experienced teacher to learn meditation, the benefits will be even better. Hope these motivating quotes on meditation inspires you to try it out and make it a part of your daily routine.

I think this will be needed all the more at this time and over the next weeks and months. Inner stillness for outer strength, such a good way to see it. There's so much worry, anxiety, uncertainty, fear, and it becomes overwhelming. A wonderful post on meditation, Nisha ♥
