Cabbage Thoran Recipe - How to make?
Heat oil in a pan, and add mustard seeds once they splutter. Add urad dal (split white lentils) and wait till it browns. Add onions, green chilies, and coconut, and sautée for a while.

- Step 1: Splutter mustard seeds in a pan with hot oil and then add urad dal. Let it brown a bit.

- Step 2: Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger, and saute well.
Next, add the shredded coconut, turmeric powder, and sautée again.

- Step 3: Add grated coconut and turmeric.

- Step 4: Mix everything well. Add curry leaves.
Finally, add the cabbage and salt and keep frying till it wilts a little. Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 5 to 7 minutes. Keep checking from time to time and make sure not to overcook it.

- Step 5: Add the cabbage, salt, and mix well. Cook covered on medium flame.

- Step 6: After about 7 minutes, check if it is done. Cook for some more time if you like it soft, but do not overcook.
Add some more curry leaves and fry for 2 more minutes. Switch off the flame; the cabbage stir fry is ready to be served.
