Chocolate chip cookies are one of my kid's favorite snacks. Although I make them quite often, I always wanted to get that perfect bakery-style consistency. Finally, I was very happy with how this awesome recipe turned out. This is going to be my new go-to recipe to impress my loved ones and guests, with the perfect delicious Bakery style chocolate chip cookie. I also added walnuts for that extra bite in it.

    Why does this recipe work?

    • It tastes like a bakery cookie, and most people love the cookies from the bakery.
    • The right amount of sugar and using brown and white sugar enhances the taste.
    • Since we do not overbake the cookies, they are soft in the center with a nice crunch from the walnuts.
    • Great for parties, get-togethers, and potlucks.

How to make Bakery Style Chocolate Chip Cookie?

We start with creaming both the white and brown sugar with butter, which is at room temperature. Slowly add eggs and vanilla. Later, add flour in small additions without beating too much. Next, add in the chocolate chips and walnuts. Refrigerate the dough if you can and bake them at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes

    Useful Tips and Tricks

Some of the tips and tricks I learned while finding the recipe, is to get all the ingredients to room temperature, especially the eggs and butter. The butter should be so soft that, if one presses it against a finger, it easily dents. However, make sure that it is not completely melted.

The other interesting fact is to chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 24 to 72 hours before baking. The dough sitting in the fridge helps marinate the ingredients and somehow improves the flavors of the cookie. Of course, if you are short on time, you can bake right away too. The chilling, however, definitely enhances the taste.

This recipe also uses more brown sugar than white, which makes it even more flavorful and bakery-like.

Also remember as always not to over bake the cookies, and to take them out of the oven when it is almost done but not fully done. It is okay if it is not fully cooked in the center. It continues cooking when the cookies are cooling on the baking pan and later on the cooling rack.

And secondly, this recipe looks AMAZING. I must be honest, I'm a bit of a sucker for a great chocolate chip cookie. The way you described these with a little bit of softness in the middle - oh my! Even if they firm up a bit after cooling, that's still perfect. I can see how you'd easily impress friends & loved ones with this recipe!

Thank you so much for sharing. Congratulations again and many many blessings to you! I believe the best is yet to come! ♥

Mmmmm these looks yum! I’ve recently made cookies (my second ever attempt) and they looked awful but didn’t taste too bad. Yours look awesome, just the right texture. I never would have thought of refrigerating the dough first - I’ll save this recipe in case I feel like risking life & limb in the kitchen again (can you tell I’m not a good baker?!) Can I just ask, because in the UK recipes are always grams or mls, how big the cup size is that you refer to?

Huuuuge congrats on the 3 year milestone & Happy Blogiversary!!

Great Caz that you tried a hand at baking , I had to try a couple of times as well to get to the perfect recipe. We all learn from our experiences 🙂 .I looked up and One cup i believe is 128 gms or 237 mls.Good luck with trying this recipe .You will be happy with the texture as the refrigeration truly does some wonders. Thank you so much for wishes and stopping by!
