Today's recipe share is Asparagus stir fry.It is a well known fact that asparagus is a very healthy vegetable and has numerous health benefits .Did you know that among other health benefits, it is also a great source to reduce fat and can help with weight loss? Due to it's rich content of soluble and insoluble fibers ,it keeps you full and avoid cravings when on diet. Also, it is worth mentioning about the Vitamin K, E and antioxidants it is rich in.It reduces bloating and avoids urinary tract infections as well. That's indeed a big list of benefits of eating this awesome green vegetable.
Normally asparagus is grilled ,roasted or baked. The recipe I have today is a simple Asparagus stir fry with very few ingredients like garlic and dried red chilies. This tastes really good ,the flavor that garlic lends to this dish makes it a favorite of any one who loves garlic. There's an interesting fact about cleaning the asparagus.It has a hard stalk towards the end and many prefer to chop off an inch from below before cooking. It is eatable but removed to avoid the chewy taste .One can even peel of the skin at the bottom. I normally cut into a length of about 2 inches to prepare this dish .Hope you try this simple and tasty dish .I would love to hear how it turns out and happy cooking !

A delicious stir fry made with asparagus , garlic and dry red chillies
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 2 dry red chillies
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- ½ onion diced
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
Clean the asparagus by cutting 1 inch from the bottom and peeling off any hard skin
cut into long pieces about 2 inches long
Take a pan with a little vegetable oil
Add cumin seeds
Add onions , garlic and dry red chillies and sautee
Add turmeric powder and then the asparagus
Add salt and stir fry
Cover with a lid and cook till done. Take care not to overcook

I love asparagus! Just picked my first garden batch of the year and it was a huge batch! I love that you put red chili’s in your recipe. I never thought about putting some heat into asparagus! Great idea!
