Why is the Aloo Paratha so loved?
- Stuffed bread in any form is usually loved by most folks, what makes this special is the unique combination of the spiced potato filling with the layered bread.
- It can be had by itself and does not require any side. If you must have a side dish or dipping with it, yogurt and some spicy pickles make a great combo.

- It is very filling, satisfying, and tastes awesome.
What are the stuffed ingredients in the aloo parathas or stuffed bread?
The parathas mainly contain spiced potatoes. We flavor them with exotic spices and a tinge of tanginess using the dry mango powder. Finely chopped green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, Kashmiri red chili powder, turmeric, cumin powder, and salt are the other ingredients that make this taste special. You can also make it like the potato mixture as in the contents of the kofta from the malai kofta recipe just exclude the cheese. The clarified butter added to it while cooking takes it to the next level, making it taste heavenly.
How to make the Aloo Paratha?
Dough Preparation:
You start with making a dough using wheat powder, water, and salt. Use a food processor or knead with your hands. Let the dough rest.
To make the stuffing:
Boil potatoes and mash them nicely. Add the finely chopped green chilies, ginger, and coriander leaves and mix well. Also, add the spices and salt and make small balls of potatoes to be rolled into the dough.
Rolling the Paratha:
First, roll the wheat dough into a round shape. Place the potato ball in the center. Wrap the dough from all sides to cover the potato ball and pinch them together. Flatten the dough, sprinkle some flour, and roll again. The potato stuffing would spread out evenly on rolling.
