Gulab Jamun Gits ready mix is a popular choice for making the decadent sweet Gulab Jamun. This is a classic, traditional Indian mouth-watering dessert made with deep-fried balls of kneaded milk powder or "khoya" dunked in rose or cardamom and saffron-flavored sugary syrup. You will find this dessert as a part of any celebration meal in India. There are many different ways to make it.
Why you will love the Gulab Jamun?
- This tastes heavenly, and for those who haven't had it, you can compare it to a sweet, warm donut dunked in syrup.
- It is also very soft and just comes off easily when you cut a spoon or fork into it and is best eaten with a little syrup as the Jamun absorbs all the flavors.
- Using the Gulab Jamun Gits ready mix, it is super easy to make, as you only need to knead the dough using the ready mix powder with some milk or water and shape the dough into small balls, and deep fry them. Serve with other sweets like microwave milk peda or peda with ricotta cheese.
- Cardamom and saffron in the syrup make it even more delicious; the combination of Jamun and syrup is perfect.
- This can be made in advance and is a great dessert for parties and get-togethers. Some other popular desserts that are served along with gulab jamun are rasmalai, made with the best rasmalai recipe, and gajar ka halwa in instant pot.
Ingredients needed
- Gits ready-made mix for Gulab Jamun - I sometimes run it through a sieve so all the lumps are smooth.
- Milk or water to knead the powder and form a dough.
- Sugar and water to make the sugar syrup to dunk the Jamuns.
- Cardamom and saffron to flavor the syrup.

How to make Gulab Jamun with Gits ready mix
The recipe I'm sharing today uses an instant mix. I use a brand called "Gits". However, there are so many varieties of instant mixes that you can find in the Indian grocery and supermarket. Gits is one of the very popular ones and it has never failed me.
Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Gulab Jamun

- The trick to get a perfect Jamun is to make sure there is enough milk or water while kneading and that there are no cracks formed when making a ball.
- It should also be fried in a very low flame and by turning around gently in the oil.
- Keep the warm sugar syrup ready before you fry the Jamuns as need to be immersed in the sugar syrup.
Serving the Gulab Jamun

- Some prefer to have this delicious dessert warm and some others like it cold .
