Rava Coconut Laddu sweet is today's sweet treat and recipe. The festive season of Diwali, the "festival of lights" is around the corner. Most of the households in India and folks who are celebrating Diwali around the world are in a festive mood and in full swing. Preparation of sweets, light decorations, and lamps mark the highlights of this joyous festival.
I decided to make Rava (semolina) coconut laddus to bring out the festive mood. Laddus are sweets that resemble small round balls. There are various types of laddus that can be made. This is one of the easiest sweets to make and also tastes really good. You need very few ingredients and it can be made in less than half an hour.
How do we prepare the Rava Coconut Laddu sweet?
There are many recipes and ways to make this delicious sweet treat. Some folks boil sugar syrup and try to get a string consistency. The recipe that I used is very simple.I got it from a good friend who is an expert at making sweets. It just needs to heat up all ingredients in ghee. A little milk is sprinkled and then small balls are formed using your fist to shape it. Since the laddu has milk, you will need to refrigerate to prevent it from spoiling.
You can reduce the amount of sugar depending on your liking. Please read on for the full recipe. If you loved this sweet, you may also love besan laddu that is also made during festivals .Do check it out as well. Enjoy!
