Banana Fritters is very popular in the southern state of Kerala in India . Locally it is also called 'Pazham Pori', which literally means Fried Banana and is usually had as an evening snack. It can be prepared in a very short time, and is loved by kids and old alike! This uses very simple ingredients and tastes out of the world. All you need is all-purpose flour, rice flour, ripe bananas, sugar, and a little turmeric for color. It is best when made with ripe plantains or the big bananas that you get at the store. You can optionally add baking soda if you like.
Ripe Plantains are preferred, I have tried with the regular bananas and they taste okay, but I would definitely prefer the plantains to make this, the riper the better. Hope you will try this simple and delicious recipe.I would love to hear in the comments if you do!
